Abu Dhabi continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the world’s most liveable cities, with the latest Abu Dhabi Quality-of-Life Survey 2025 revealing notable improvements in happiness, safety, and social cohesion across the emirate.
Based on the responses of 115,801 participants, the survey offers a comprehensive snapshot of how residents perceive their daily lives—highlighting a community that is increasingly secure, satisfied, and socially connected.
A Strong Sense of Safety
One of the most striking findings from the survey is the exceptionally high level of safety felt by residents. An impressive 94.1 per cent of respondents reported feeling safe, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s standing as a city where security and stability are deeply embedded in everyday life.
This sense of safety is not only a cornerstone of quality of life but also a critical factor in attracting global talent, investors, and families seeking a secure environment.
Happiness on the Rise
The survey also recorded a rise in overall happiness levels to 79 per cent, reflecting a positive shift in how residents view their well-being and life satisfaction.
This increase signals the success of ongoing government initiatives aimed at enhancing living standards, supporting mental well-being, and creating a balanced lifestyle for residents across all segments of society.
Strengthening Social Cohesion
Beyond individual well-being, the survey highlights growing social cohesion, with residents reporting stronger community ties and a deeper sense of belonging.
This reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to fostering inclusive communities where cultural diversity is embraced and social harmony is actively encouraged. The emirate’s policies and community programs continue to promote interaction, understanding, and unity among its population.
Data-Driven Governance
The scale of participation—over 115,000 respondents—demonstrates the government’s emphasis on data-driven decision-making. By actively engaging residents and gathering large-scale feedback, authorities can better tailor policies and initiatives to meet the evolving needs of the population.
Such insights play a crucial role in shaping urban planning, public services, and community development strategies.
Building a Future-Focused City
Abu Dhabi’s latest survey results underscore a broader vision: creating a city that prioritises not only economic growth but also human well-being and social stability.
As global cities compete to offer the best quality of life, Abu Dhabi’s consistent improvements in safety, happiness, and cohesion position it as a leading example of sustainable urban development.
A Model for Modern Living
The findings from the Abu Dhabi Quality-of-Life Survey 2025 reflect more than just statistics—they tell the story of a city that continues to evolve with its people at the centre.
With rising happiness levels, a strong sense of safety, and deepening social bonds, Abu Dhabi is shaping a model for modern living—where prosperity is matched by well-being, and growth is measured not only in numbers, but in the everyday experiences of its residents.
